These CEA‑Specifications give recommendations based on available loss experience, hazards control, and risk management in member countries of Insurance Europe. With these recommendations addressed to insurance takers, e. g. the building owner or operator, planer, and producer for facade systems, the appropriate planning, construction, maintenance, and demolition of facade systems should be supported in a practical way.
This non-binding standard has been developed by prevention bodies, under the initiative of the insurers or their representatives grouped at European level in the Insurance Europe Prevention Forum.
